Disruptive but Ethics

Neuronaps Institute, at the Heart of Ethics

Neuronaps Institute (NI)

is an international non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Switzerland. It unites actors in the disruptive technology sector to promote ethics and social responsibility. NI encourages responsible practices among companies, associations, and institutions using disruptive technologies, particularly through its labels.

To address the concerns surrounding these technologies, NI has created Int'l labels. These labels certify that organizations consider ethical, security-related, legal, and societal issues in the implementation and use of disruptive technologies. They serve as a reference for other economic actors, aiding in informed decision-making.

Furthermore, NI promotes the creation, preservation, and intergenerational transmission of skills and knowledge. It facilitates exchange groups to share best practices and foster a responsible and inclusive tech ecosystem.

Ethical Engagement

Innovate Today, Transform Tomorrow

Disruptive technologies have the potential to transform societies and economies, much like past innovations. However, they also raise fears, misunderstandings, and resistance, as they permeate various sectors such as transport, health, energy, industry, and finance. Moreover, they present ethical and legal challenges, as noted by researchers at Harvard, Stanford, CNRS, and other universities.

Recent studies have shown that disruptive technologies can serve as a tool for reform and promote inclusion.

A Label, Why?

"These new ecosystems, complex for the public and economic actors from other sectors, involve a multitude of actors and multiple opinions, making their understanding difficult. When a new market emerges through innovation, a nascent industry forms, requiring the establishment of a regulated ecosystem, norms, and standards. Established companies may neglect certain market segments, opening the door to new disruptive companies. In this context, our labels become a strategic and essential response to maintain competitiveness. Our labels clarify the ethical and responsible dimensions considered by our member companies in the creation, development, and use of disruptive technologies. They demonstrate a voluntary commitment, respect for the rights of the public, advanced corporate policies, and growth supported by informed consumers" said our presidente.
